Standards

It is terribly difficult for anyone to have to turn to their local food bank to ask for bread, or milk or cereal. We work with our member food banks to ensure that when their neighbours turn to them for assistance, it is provided to them in a high quality, safe and dignified environment.
Each member food bank agrees to abide by our Standards of Operation, and we work with them to ensure that they can meet those standards.
We have a simple accreditation process for members to complete to ensure that their activities are in line with established standards.
Members of the OAFB Home Office staff visit member food banks throughout the year to share information, provide advice, and determine members' needs.
